What sizes/types are available?
We manufacture diaphragm bellows from 0.5" diameter to
27.25" diameter, in stainless steel, and high nickel
alloys. Material thickness varies from 0.003" to 0.036"
for our product line, although for roll-form bellows the
thickness can exceed 0.062". On a large welded diaphragm
bellows, the total length of weld can exceed 500ft and all
of these welds will be one shot welds in typically 0.008"
material with zero leakage. Such welds are tested using
a mass spectrometer tuned to detect a low mass gas such
as Helium. This is used as a search gas and will find a
leak path through a pore in a metal component that would
not be detected if tested using air pressure techniques.
NESTED
Very good resistance to pressure in the compressed state with
low spring rate characteristics. Is ideally suited for long
stroke applications whilst maintaining a short free length.
This construction will accomodate large angular movements
and can be used for 90° and 180° bends.

Palatine are able to offer Standard Nested Bellows Assemblies. These are units that are most commonly used throughout industry.
CANTILEVER
Good resistance to pressure with low spring rates. Linearity
of stroke and force output is excellent for short movements.Very
good torsional stiffness. Constant effective area with pressure.

OMEGA
The omega design is a patented construction and is excellent
for high external pressure applications. Spring rates are
high and sizes are limited. This unit is ideal for gland
seal applications.
